Hunter Hanging out with Auntie Mandy

More pictures of Hunter hanging out with his aunts for the week! Today he is with nana Julie. I think he is enjoying the attention all week...but I think he misses the kids at daycare too. By the time I have him tomorrow he is going to be pretty bored with me!

Words of wisdom: when spending 14 of 24 hours in a car, get a book on CD! It really makes the time fly!

New Computer

We finally got our new computer. I started setting it up Saturday night. It is much more work to replace a computer then buying your first one. I now have the old computer (which I must say was disgusting after sitting under our desk for 3 years) set up on the bar, and the new one on the desk. I don't have the printer set up yet, but I have the programs loaded and my Itunes moved...which took a long time! I think the new one is going to be great...I just need to spend some time with it...maybe next week!

This week we don't have a sitter (she is on vacation) so we have family watching Hunter most of the week and I have off on Friday. Today he is with my sister-in-law, who also has her 3 kids home. She sent me some pictures of the boys training Hunter to be Jedi...I had to share. His daddy is so proud (see the blog's first entry). As you can see from the picture...I guess cow needs a little lesson in becoming a jedi too! (Cow serves as a bit of courage when we aren't around).

Update on Steph's cousin...she is doing good. She is improving daily. She is really weak and it sounds like a little depressed about not being able to see the baby. But hopefully soon she will be able to enjoy her little guy!

Almost forgot...I still have one team alive in the tournament! GO LSU!!! If they win I may be in the money!!!

That's it for now!

Out of the Woods

Well it appears that Steph's cousin is doing better. A match for a liver transplant was found Sunday/Monday. It was implanted yesterday and the surgery went as well as could be expected. They want to have her sedated without visitors for a couple of days for her to rest, recuperate and heal. I guess they want her to be rested when they tell her everything that she has been through. I guess they don't even know if she will remember that she had the baby. Luckily the baby is doing REALLY well and should be going home within two weeks (probably sooner then his mamma). I hope the best for her and her family, and I send them my prayers! Hopefully she will fully recuperate and will have a long healthy life with that little guy!

As for the other areas of interest...the Big 10 SUCKS! Of course the one Big 10 team that I didn't have winning in my bracket won...Indiana! The Badger game was sad and ugly to watch. Once again I felt like I wasn't watching a Bo Ryan coached team. They didn't seem to play with heart or desire. I give the freshman a lot of credit because they seemed to be in the few that were up to play. Oh well, another season is done. Hopefully next year they can pull it together, keep their grades up and play well! At least there were a lot of other good games to watch this past weekend. Hopefully this weekend is the same.

We FINALLY had another tooth pop through this weekend! I guess that was the reason for the fever. It was an eye tooth and those are suppose to be some of the worst...so hopefully the others are soon to follow! Darn teeth!

That is about it for now! Here's hoping Spring is coming soon!

March Madness

Let the basketball games begin!...and the snow! The tradition of snow for the boys tournament continues! One day in and ALOT of good games and a couple near disasters for my bracket...but safe in the end. I just love this time of the year...it has to be the best time in all sports. Like usual I am cautiously optimistic about the Badgers. I am hoping Bo has something in his bag of tricks to get this team ready for the tournament. And what about UW-M...they looked pretty impressive today, they aren't a Cinderella any more!

In other news...I went to see Failure to Launch...cute girl movie! Although I don't know how it could be bad when it is 1 1/2 hours of watching my Matthew! haaaaa (long sigh)....After the movie I was talking with the girls I went with and we were saying that he and Sarah Jessica Parker have good chemistry. Sometimes in these "happy girlie movies" they just slap two people together that you can't really see together, but that wasn't the case here. The overall thought of the movie was it was a mix between How to Lose a Guy and Hitched. Good flick if you are looking for a feel good!

One other thing weighing on my mind tonight...my sister-in-law Steph is pregnant and her cousin was also pregnant and due a day before Steph (beginning of May)...well her cousin was having some problems with her pregnancy and high blood pressure and she went into the hospital on Sunday throwing up...and she was preclamsic and they took the baby at 32 weeks (8 weeks premature). The good news is that the baby is doing really well (a boy, Marcus) but her cousin did not snap out of it...they took her gullbladder after her c-section but they still couldn't stabilize her. Now her liver and kidneys are not fully functioning either. She is in pretty rough shape and in need of a liver transplant. It is a really hard time for the family...and I can't imagine what they are going through...Steph's cousin is a GREAT person! Very full of life and infectiously happy...it's times like this that I have to hold on to the fact that there is something else out there...so if you believe or not and can spare a prayer...I think Kelly could use it right now! I know I will be saying an extra one or two tonight.

Sorry to end on a such a sad note...Hopefully the weekend will bring good news!

(I thought I would put a picture of Hunter in the snow...makes me smile)

Growing Sick Little Boy

Just a quick note for an update on my life. Last week started out well. Hunter went in for his 15 month check up. 27 lbs 14 oz and 33 inches! Still topping the charts on height...93%...and he didn't gain a whole pound since his 12 month, but he grew 3 inches in the last 3 months! No wonder none of his shoes fit! Then he had to get shots :( But he was a trouper...no tears! (He did better then his mommy...once again). Then Wednesday night he got a bump on his leg from his shot...poor thing...and a little fever. The fever seemed to get worse so Thursday and Friday meant Josh and I stayed home from work to hang out with him. It is so funny when kids are sick...they spike a fever...get a little Tylenol and Motrin in them...and they are off playing basketball again! He finally broke his fever yesterday...hopefully that means the molar will be popping through soon! So it was yet another fast week in the Andrew house. Hunter and I did get out on Saturday morning for a walk to enjoy the beautiful weather and then I did some shopping in Johnson Creek and we had friends over on Sunday. So all in all (minus the 1 1/2 hours of ironing I did) it was a good weekend!

March Madness officially started last night! After the Badgers lost to Indiana in the opening round of the Big Ten tournament, they were blessed with a 9 seed. I don't have very high expectations, but the optimistic part of me is hoping for a miracle :)

Hopefully I can get on a little more often this week! Tonight I am off to see my Matthew in Failure To Launch...I will let you know how beautiful he is...I mean if the movie is good later this week! At least it is a girls night out!

Long Week

It has been a long week around here. I guess I didn't have the time (or ambition) to get a post in this week. It has just been one of those weeks at home and work! Today for instance when nothing really went right at work...things kept coming up...and nothing really got done! That is really frustrating for me! I like to mark things off of my "to do" list...not much of that happened today.

Then to top things off, Hunter is trying to pop some teeth this week, which in turn meant being up at 1:30 AM with him. But I think he is over the hump...no teeth yet (new ones at least) but the diaper rash has subsided and the mood has improved. Actually he has been in a great mood lately at night. Last night he was crazy...I a lot of times take the cushions off of the couches so he can jump and fall on them and just have fun...we do a lot of tackling in our house. Well last night, my brave little soldier thought he would try to fall from the couch to the cushions. Luckily mom was there to soften the landing :) He sure is at a fun stage! Even all the trying times of hard will, frustration and teething, are easily overlooked when he just has fun playing! The other day I was trying to tell him he can't hit Joey (which I do repeatedly and Joey paws at him repeatedly...but he still does it), anyway, I was trying to be firm and he put his hands on my cheeks (on on each check) and leaned forward and kissed me. What a cutie...and me the softy...gave right in and kissed him back.

On other news...Drew won Dancing with the Stars...YEAH!!!! And Sarah was chosen on the Bachelor...also YEAH!!! But a 3 carrot right on a chain??? Are you kidding me??? I hope that clasp is welded shut!!! All in all a good week of TV! Even though I haven't much since Monday night :)

On the Badger front...another L in the away column! I swear sometimes I watch them and they don't even seem like they are a Bo Ryan team! It really disappoints me...and annoys me because it in turn means Josh is yelling at the TV...But like he said last night, it used to be so exciting watching the Badgers...now it is just frustrating. And I would have to agree with him. And I think it is worse because the Packer season was so frustrating too. Oh well we will get on. Hopefully next year everyone on the team can pull a 1.65 GPA! Yep you read that right...that is all they need!

Well as promised here are a couple of cake pictures from last weekend!

Over and out.
